"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment."

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Welcome to the inaugural post of The Garden of Earthly Delights. I’ve been mulling over the concept for this blog for quite a while, and now that I have some free time, I’m dedicating it to bringing this little project to fruition!

So what is this blog about anyway? Despite the name and header derived from Heironymus Bosch’s masterpiece, it’s not about orgies (don’t look so disappointed!). It’s about the things in this world, whether physical or immaterial, little or big, that make life a pleasure. It’s about food, it’s about style and design, it’s about exploration and discovery, frivolity and decadence. But even better, it’s about having fine company with which to enjoy these things. So I hope you’ll join me as I share with you the things that inspire and delight me, and perhaps you’ll decide to share your life’s pleasures with me too.

You are cordially invited to join me in The Garden at any time. I hope to see you often!
